Why do we exist?

The thing that moves us is our desire to help every person know and love Jesus. We want to help those around us know Jesus, grow in their understanding of Him through His Word, and join us in serving others. We say it this way: loving God, loving people, and serving all.

This process is called discipleship. A disciple is a follower of Jesus Christ. It is someone who has chosen to give their life to Jesus Christ as the only source of salvation and the One who alone is worthy to be served.

That's it. That's why we exist. Really, it's that simple.

But simple doesn't mean easy. We struggle with life's problems just like everyone else. We just know that God, through Jesus, has shown us a better way to cope with everything that life throws at us. That's why we want to reflect Jesus' character and love in all we do and say. He left us an example that we'll never imitate perfectly but the more we live like Jesus, the better we live this life.

If you want to know God better... if you want to love God more deeply... if you care about people and want to serve them, then Calvary is a great place to be.
